The Canine Concierge
Thoughtful care. Trusted coordination. Peace of mind.
About Rachel
I’ve been figuring out how to care for dogs, wherever in the world life takes us, for a very long time.
Why Clients Trust Us
The Canine Concierge grew out of something more personal than a business idea.
In 2009, while living in Buenos Aires, Rachel Hale met Maia, a rescue dog who became family. When it came time to move internationally, Rachel had to navigate complicated paperwork, transit rules, quarantine periods, and even unexpected exit permits. That experience made clear how overwhelming the process can be. But for Rachel, it also reinforced the importance of having someone who knows the system and treats your animal like family, not cargo.
Long before founding the Canine Concierge, Rachel founds herself helping wherever she lived, volunteering with shelters in Jordan, Argentina, Trinidad, North Macedonia, and fostering puppies in Malta.
In the Bahamas, she's worked with the Bahamas Humane Society, fostered rescue dogs, serves on the board of BAARK, and volunteered with Operation Potcake. From early morning dog walks to emergency rescue runs, Rachel has handled both gentle and challenging dogs with patience and care. She also owned a Belgian Malinois, which taught her the importance of confident, attentive handling.
The core of Canine Concierge is simple: thoughtful care, trusted coordination, and peace of mind, always treating your dog like family.
Personal Service Requires a Personal Touch
The Canine Concierge is intentionally personal. When you entrust someone with your dog, you shouldn't feel like you've handed them over to a company or a system. You should know exactly who is caring for them, where they are, and that someone is paying attention.
That's why I keep The Canine Concierge small and intentionally hands-on. I personally coordinate your dog's care, communicate with you throughout the process, and handle the details that are easy to overlook when you're trying to manage everything yourself.
Whether I'm accompanying your dog to the veterinarian, navigating international travel requirements, or coordinating the moving pieces of their care, my role is simple: to make your life easier while making sure your dog is in capable, compassionate hands.
Because when it comes to our dogs, trust isn't a nice-to-have. It's everything.
